Heidi - Lead Stager, Designer, and Owner

My passion for creating beautiful spaces goes back a good 20 years. I took my first Home Staging course 15 years ago, and went through a windy path of occasional staging, refinishing furniture, earning an interior design degree, working in kitchen and bath design, and drafting. Now I own and operate Purple Duck Staging and Design where I can follow my passion to help people by creating Beauty. Whether someone needs to show a home’s potential to sell, or they are wanting to create wonderful spaces in their own home, I find so much joy in helping people live in beautiful functional spaces.

While I practice many facets of design, my primary focus is “Buyer First Staging”. I primarily stage vacant homes, and start by reviewing the neighborhood, floorplan, and all aspects of the house to determine with the seller and agent WHO we are marketing each particular house to. By knowing who we are selling to, I decide what elements to bring in to highlight the lifestyle and function of each room to fit our chosen demographic.

I am a native to Oregon, having grown up in Florence, OR, then moving to Eugene as a young adult. I spent a good several years in Utah, but the call of the PNW was too strong, and our family moved back to settle and create our mini-homestead just outside Eugene. I love spending time with my kids, gardening, reading, and decorating and updating my own home.
